Season Six of Brooklyn Nine-Nine was confirmed by NBC on May 11, 2018.[2] It will premiere during the 18-19 midseason.
This marks the first season of the series that will be broadcast on NBC, as it was announced on May 10, 2018, that FOX had decided to cancel the series.[3]
On September 7, 2018, NBC expanded the season running time from 13 episodes to 18.[4]
On November 8, 2018; it was announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine's 6th season would premiere on January 10, 2019. It would air on Thursdays at 9 PM on NBC.[1]

Notes
- The new season will include Jake and Amy adapting to life as newlyweds.
- It will also have an episode dedicated to Hitchcock and Scully.[9]
- Season Six will not end on a cliffhanger, just in case of another cancellation. [10]
- Chelsea Peretti will leave the show in the midst of the season, as will Gina.[11]
