Plot[]

The episode starts with Jake telling the squad he pranked Hitchcock by putting his hand in a bowl of water. Somehow Hitchcock ends up with his head in the water and Jake has to save him from drowing.

The squad meets in the briefing room to discuss the upcoming 28th annual tri-state police officer convention in Rochester. The squad is excited about partying at the convention, but Holt tells them not to. Holt tells him he is running for a seat on the conventions board of directors. Jake tells them not to worry and that they will still party in secret.

Once they get to Rochester, the squad runs into the Buffalo PD. Jake tells them, the nine nine is coming to the party. Holt suspects they are planning a party, but Jake tells him they are just debating their favourite parts of the conference. Holt believes this excuse.

The squad then goes into a hall to check out police tech, here Scully meets Cindy Shatz and awkwardly introduces himself.

Jake and Rosa check out a robot, which can be used to patrol an empty building. Charles then shows them "the wasp" which emits a sound you can only hear if you're 35 or younger. Rosa hears the sound from the wasp, Jake and Charles don't, but pretend to hear it.

Terry shows Holt the tote bags he got at the tech expo. Holt hides behind Terry in an attempt to avoid being seen by Caption Jeffery Bouchè, who he describes as "the living embodiement of evil". Jeffery appears friendly, and Terry thinks Holt is being too harsh on him, but Holt insists he's a snake, because he always gets promoted pver Holt.

Jake tells the squad Holt has gone to bed and they head to the Buffalo PD's party. But it turns out the Buffalo PD had been arrested for taking bribes.

Jake says they should throw their own party, Jake asks Amy if he can borrow 200 dollars for alcohol and she agrees. Terry is worried Holt be angry at them for throwing a party, but Jake assures him he won't find out. Jake says he has programmed the robot K13 to guard Holt's door, calling the robot his new partner, which makes Charles jealous.

Charles compares the party to a Bonnie Raitt concert. Rosa asks Jake, Charles and Terry if they want to do the taser challenge. Scully sees Cindy at the party and gets nervous, Gina and Amy give him advice on how to talk to her. Scully gets nervous infront of Cindy again and walkss off after trying to talk to her.

Jake gets an alert from the robot saying Holt has left his room, which makes Charles jealous. Charles tries get everyone out of the hallway, but they don't listen. Rosa uses the wasp to get everyone's attention, while Charles covers her ears. Amy shushes everyone, and manages to get them out of the hallway.

Holt knocks on Jake's door and which room is Terry's. Jake tells Holt that Terry is in his room, but is asleep so he can't talk to him. Holt gives Jake his laptop to give to Terry, so Terry can add colour to his presentation as he doesn't think it's "flashy" enough to compete with Jeffery. K13 tells Jake that Holt is back in his room and the party continues.

The next scene shows the squad hungover and passed out in Jake's room. Holt knocks on the door and Jake answers, Holt is surprised that Jake seems like he just woke up because it is 11am. Jake tells him that he's just tired from working out. Holt asks for his laptop back. Jake wakes up Terry and asks him for the presentation. Terry said he didn't do it and asks Jake to stall Holt while he adds the colour. Jake is unsuccessful in stalling Holt. Terry can't find Holt's laptop, but tells Holt that he needs half an hour to add slide transitions. Jake sends Rosa to the gym to work out with Holt.

Charles, Jake and Terry search for the laptop. They go down to the pool and find Jake's burnt shirt in the pool. Jake remembers that he was on fire, and that's why he's wearing a pillow as a shirt. Terry remembers that the state troopers brought fireworks, and that's why Jake was on fire.

Jeffery sees Rosa and Holt at the gym, Jeffery is overly friendly, and Holt is clearly irritated with him.

Terry then remembers that he shot the firework at Jake, and Jake realises that's why his chest hurts. Charles remembers that he threw the robot of the balcony. They find the remains of the robot, and Jake realises it has a camera, so they check the footage.

The robot's footage shows Charles talking to the robot, then putting the laptop bag down by a plant. They go there and find the laptop bag.

Scully is sad about Cindy and lies in a body bag. Amy and Gina comfort him, then they hatch a plan to tell him what to say to Cindy through an earpiece. Scully repeats what Amy and Gina say to Cindy and asks her out, but she turns him down.

Jake and Terry find Holt and give him back his laptop, Rosa and Holt are both annoyed it took them so long. Terry tells Holt he decided to leave the presentation black and white.

Holt gives his presentation, which has been replaced by photos from the party from the night before. Holt tells the crowd there is an error and the photos have nothing to do with him or the 99th precint, while a photo of Hitchcock with 99 written on him comes up. Jeffery reveals that he's the one who took the photos, and sabotaged Holt's presentation.

Holt berates the squad for embarrasing the precinct. Scully is upset about Cindy and Jake tries to comfort him, but Amy reassures him her and Gina have it covered, which Jake is relieved about.

Amy and Gina go and talk to Cindy, and tell her to give Scully a chance. Cindy tells them she stopped being interested when Scully started acting confident. Amy and Gina get Scully and he just acts like himself, Cindy and Scully kiss.

Jake knocks on Holt's door and apologises, Jake tells Holt he had figured out a way for him to be on the board. Holt tells him he doesn't want that, and he was upset about the squad having fun without him. Jake aplogises to Holt again and the squad take him to the thermometer museum (which he mentioned earlier in the episode) to make it up to him.

Jeffrey: Raymond Holt? As I live and breathe. You have not aged a day. So how's Kevin? How's Cheddar? Come on, tell me everything.

Jeffrey: I wouldn't be so sure about that. He's a very clever dog [chuckle].
